Haberlandt Award for soybean research in Europe and China

The Haberlandt Award recognises outstanding achievements in soybean research in Europe and China. This price is awarded by the Donau Soja Association in cooperation with the Soybean speciality committee of the Crop Science Society of China.

Who are the winners?

An independent panel of experts selected the following applicants as the winners of the Haberlandt award:

• Xintian Zhu, University of Hohenheim
• Zhixi Tian, Chinese Academy of Sciences
• Max Haupt, University of Hohenheim/IPK
• Aamir Saleem, ILVO/Ghent University

 

Award

A total of 15,000 EUR was awarded to the above mentioned applicants from Europe and China; the winners were awarded at the Donau Soja 10^th anniversary event in Vienna, Austria, 29 – 30 September 2022. Congratulations!

 

 

About this award

This price is awarded by the Donau Soja Association in cooperation with the Soybean speciality committe of the Crop Science Society of China. It receives financial support of the donors of the Haberlandt Scholarship: Ministry for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection Baden-Württemberg (MLR), Bavarian State Ministry for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry (StMELF), Agroscope and Saatgut Austria. Its purpose is to reward outstanding performances in soybean research; to rise the awareness about soybean research in Europe and to contribute to better linkages between Chinese and European soybean scientists.
